Each year, PFSCM reflects on the role of supply chains in the fight to end malaria, and takes stock of our malaria activities during the last year.
In 2019, we procured more than $75.8 million worth of malaria commodities including pharmaceuticals such as artemisinin-based combination therapy (ACT), testing products such as malaria rapid diagnostic test (MRDT) kits, and prevention products such as indoor residual spray.
PFSCM delivered 270 shipments of malaria commodities to 33 countries, ensuring lifesaving products reach malaria programs on time and in full.
Further, we saved our clients over $3.4 million in malaria commodity costs by implementing best procurement practices and obtaining price reductions.
Today, PFSCM also reflects on a decade’s worth of work in supporting donors and health programs around the world. Since 2009, PFSCM has delivered over 2100 shipments of malaria commodities, worth more than $597 million, to 45 countries.
