The Partnership for Supply Chain Management (PFSCM) is pleased to announce that we have been accepted as participant in the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, the United Nations (UN) Global Compact.
The mission of the UN Global Impact is to mobilize a global movement of sustainable companies and stakeholders that share the vision and mission to create a better world for all.
The initiative encourages companies to align strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and take actions that advance societal goals.
Further, the UN Global Compact has undertaken a multi-year strategy to drive business awareness and action in support of achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
The UN Global Impact supports companies to:
- Do business responsibly by aligning their strategies and operations with Ten Principles on human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption; and
- take strategic actions to advance broader societal goals, such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with an emphasis on collaboration and innovation.
PFSCM director Richard Owens says PFSCM is proud to be associated with such a commendable global initiative.
“Our participation in the UN Global Compact further strengthens our commitment to ensuring a sustainable business that also actively supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially in good health and well-being; a field in which we have much experience.”
PFSCM looks forward to joining nearly 12,000 business and non-business participants in 140 countries, in making the world a better place for all.
