Illumina Global Health Access Initiative

Reduced pricing, and simplified budgeting and procurement for increased access to critical genomic surveillance products

PFSCM is proud to support Illumina with its newly launched Global Health Access initiative.

PFSCM, in collaboration with Illumina, will help eligible entities like implementing partners, NGOs, not-for-profits, UN organizations, and Global Health funding mechanisms access eligible sequencing products.

The Global Health Access initiative supports access to pathogen sequencing tools for public health in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The program provides reduced pricing structures for eligible sequencing products from Illumina to qualified global health funding entities and addresses critical international logistics and supply chain challenges.

Discounted pricing is provided

The initiative provides discounted prices for a range of sequencing applications, including drug resistance profiling in tuberculosis, whole-genome sequencing of emerging and reemerging viruses to monitor virus evolution and support outbreak response, broad respiratory pathogen detection for influenza-like illness surveillance, wastewater and other environmental surveillance applications to track pathogens, and antimicrobial resistances at the population level.

Eligible sequencing products from Illumina

PFSCM has created a list of all the eligible Illumina sequencing products available for the purpose of sequencing pathogens for public health management.

The products include consumables for various applications, including broad viral surveillance, respiratory pathogens characterization, drug-resistant tuberculosis detection, and a custom amplicon library preparation solution for addressing local microbial interests.

Interested parties should:

  • Review the list of eligible Illumina sequencing products (in the Illumina Global Health Access initiative catalog).
  • Contact PFSCM to learn more about pricing, the ordering process, product selection, and supply chain activities like quality assurance, lead-times, logistics, and storage.
  • Global Fund recipients should visit wambo.org to place their orders.
